Practiced my prom hair and makeup last night, and I absolutely love it! I will post a close-up shot of my hair on Friday!
How I think I’m doing my makeup for prom.
It’s a little bit darker in person - because it’s washed out by the flash.

Here’s your Saturday night inspiration - brought to you by one of the most overused, but TRUE quotes of all time.
I want all my followers to know that they are beautiful, both with, and without makeup on. If makeup makes you feel confident about yourself, or if you just love applying it (like me) then that’s all that’s important.
Don’t let someone else define what makeup means to you!

My Favourite Everyday Lip Colour - Maybelline’s Colour Whisper Lipstick in #25 “Lust for Blush”
After this product was released, and MarissaLace reviewed it, I knew I was dying to try it. I’m the kind of person who enjoys wearing bright lip colours, but tends to skip lipstick and lipgloss on an everyday basis. Mainly because I’ve never found a colour I truly love - but also because I don’t like the hassel of having to re-apply it so often. But I am in love with this product! It is the perfect browny-pink colour for every day wear, and it’s smooth buttery texture makes it easy to apply, and gives it a nice satin finish.
Overall, I would say this product is like a better version of the Revlon Lip Butters! (cult followers please don’t kill me). I find it gives off better pigmentation, with the same amount of moisture, and only a slightly less-glossy finish.
On the plus side - it also smells like the vanilla frosting on fruit loops!
I can’t wait to get this collection in stores (February 7th) - so that I can pick it up for my best friend. We use to read archie comics together at the cottage, and I know this pink Betty lipstick will look great on her!

I got this lovely Marc Jacobs pouch from a friend for Christmas, and it’s absolutely gorgeous! It’s from the Marc Jacobs for Target and Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection!
Review: the size of this is perfect for a makeup bag to travel with, or (as I like to use it) an evening clutch. The distressed exterior gives is a rough look, especially in the gun-metal grey colour. The inside lining is durable and nice, and the zipper is good quality cosnidering it’s made from plastic.
For $69.99 I definitely think this bag is work the price - especially if you’re someone who wants to treat themselves to a designer bag, without the designer price tag.
Anonymous asked: do you follow back ?
I try to follow back as many other beauty-related blogs as I can! But because most of my content is my own photos, or own ideas, I really just use my dashboard for inspiration - not reblogging!
But you can always follow me on my personal blog - where I do follow back!

Review: Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum
I’ve had this lib scrub for just over 6 months now, and after using it religiously - I absolutely love it!
At first I was only using this sugar-based scrub before applying lipstick. I would use it to smooth out my lips before moisurizing and applying my lipstick. It not only made it lipstick go on smoother, but it also makes it last longer!
Now however, I try to use it every other night before bed, followed by a super moisturizing lip balm (my favourite is the blistex medex). I find that including it in my nighttime routine has given me much smoother lips all the time - instead of just before I apply my lipstick.
The only downside to this product is that (like all other lush products) it’s relatively expensive, and it does have an expiry date! Regardless, I would suggest picking this up next time you’re in a lush store - especially if you’re a lipstick junkie like me!
Outfit of the Day - Christmas Carol Service Edition
This winter I’ve been loving the pairing of grey tights, with a black skirt and sweater. Then dress up the outfit a bit is the collared shirt! Paired with these great faux-suede boots, I think this outfit is great for any holiday event!
Anonymous asked: What foundation do you use?
My winter foundation is the Revlon Colorstay foundation (I use the colour 150 buff)! I absolutely love this foundation - it gives me the best coverage, while still feeling light on my skin. It’s a semi-matte finish so I always set it with the Maybelline FIT Me power (I’m colour 110)
I’ve been using this combination for over a year and a half, so expect a full review on this coming soon!
