1. My Favourite Everyday Lip Colour - Maybelline’s Colour Whisper Lipstick in #25 “Lust for Blush”

After this product was released, and MarissaLace reviewed it, I knew I was dying to try it. I’m the kind of person who enjoys wearing bright lip colours, but tends to skip lipstick and lipgloss on an everyday basis. Mainly because I’ve never found a colour I truly love - but also because I don’t like the hassel of having to re-apply it so often. But I am in love with this product! It is the perfect browny-pink colour for every day wear, and it’s smooth buttery texture makes it easy to apply, and gives it a nice satin finish.

Overall, I would say this product is like a better version of the Revlon Lip Butters! (cult followers please don’t kill me). I find it gives off better pigmentation, with the same amount of moisture, and only a slightly less-glossy finish.

On the plus side - it also smells like the vanilla frosting on fruit loops!

  2. Review: Lush Lip Scrub in Bubblegum

I’ve had this lib scrub for just over 6 months now, and after using it religiously - I absolutely love it!

At first I was only using this sugar-based scrub before applying lipstick. I would use it to smooth out my lips before moisurizing and applying my lipstick. It not only made it lipstick go on smoother, but it also makes it last longer!

Now however, I try to use it every other night before bed, followed by a super moisturizing lip balm (my favourite is the blistex medex). I find that including it in my nighttime routine has given me much smoother lips all the time - instead of just before I apply my lipstick.

The only downside to this product is that (like all other lush products) it’s relatively expensive, and it does have an expiry date! Regardless, I would suggest picking this up next time you’re in a lush store - especially if you’re a lipstick junkie like me!

  3. Review: My Favourite Eye Makeup Remover.

I have finally discovered my all-time favourite makeup remover - the Nivea Express Eye Makeup Remover! This eye makeup remover works on foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and waterproof mascara. It doesn’t leave your skin greasy, and you don’t have to pull hard on your skin to get everything to come off.

How I use it: I shake the bottle and then apply it onto a circular cotton pad. I then place the cotton pad on my eye, and press it (without moving it) for 6 seconds. Then for another 6 seconds I move the cotton pad around, gently “scrubbing” at my eye area. After the 12 seconds, all of my eye makeup is off. I then use the reverse of the cotton pad to remove all my face makeup. 2 cotton pads later, and my whole face is clean!

  4. Getting the Perfect Wine Coloured Lip

Step 1: Exfoliate your lips. This will create a smooth service to apply your lipstick, and keep it from looking patch-y. My personal favourite is the bubblegum flavoured sugar lip scrub from lush.

Step 2: Moisturize your lips, and let it set in. This will keep the lipstick from clinging to dry patches on your lips, and prevent the lipstick from drying out your lips. My personal favourite is the Sugar lip treatment by Fresh.

Step 3: Apply your lipstick. Use a brush, or straight from the tube - however you feel you get your best application. For long lasting results, do one coat - then place a tissue over your lips, and apply powder through the tissue, then re-apply the lipstick. This will first stain your lips, then the second coat will add gloss and shine!

My personal favourite wine coloured lipstick is by Boujois in the colour 78 Sweet Kiss

  5. Review: No7 Blush in 25 Petal

This blush has been my everyday blush the whole month of October, and I absolutely love it.  It’s one of only two No7 products I’ve ever owned and I must say - I think it’s one of my favourite blushes of all time.

The colour is a natural, warm toned pink.  It adds a natural flush to the cheeks that is perfect for light toned skins.  As for the consistency, I find this blush to be really smooth on the skin and extremely pigmented.  It blends fairly well, but it can look cake-y, especially on the apples of your cheeks, if you wear too much of it.

If you’re looking for a perfect every day blush this winter, check out the No7 blush on Amazon for 5 pounds (Amazon UK). Click here to buy this blush

  7. My Favourite Products for a Red Lip:

    1. Start with a lipstain base, instead of a lipliner. I like the Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Flame

    2. Coat it with your favourite creamy lipstick. Mine is a true red colour with deep undertones - Rimmel Lipstick in 170 Alarm

    3. Finish it off with a high-gloss lipgloss. I like the Clinique lipglass in Candy Apple.

The combination of these products will give you a long-lasting, polished, and beautiful red lip. Message me your favourite lip products for a red lip, or any other colours you’re loving right now!

  8. Review: OPI Nail Polish in Dutch Tulips

I got this polish as a gift for my birthday, and the colour was too rich to wear in the summer. But now that it’s fall, it’s the perfect time to whip out my red and dark nail polishes. I put this on the other night, and I absolutely love it.

  9. Review: NYC Bronzer in Sunny

I picked up this youtube-favourite almost a year ago, and this summer has been the perfect time to really put it to use - as I was the most tanned I’ve ever been!

This bronzer is the perfect thing for light to medium toned skin, because it has a solid brown undertone, instead of orange.

Most people would reach to this bronzer’s matte finish for contouring, but because of the undertones, and the smooth formula it works perfect for an all-over bronzer to give natural colour to the face. I personally prefer using this bronzer with a large duo-fiber brush to give a soft airbrush finish to the face.

I would overall recommend this product to anyone, especially because it comes with such a small price tag. So if you see this product at your drugstore, I would pick it up!

  11. Anonymous asked: What powder would you recommend for someone with oily skin? drugstore preferred please!

Well if you’re looking for a powder just to set your liquid or cream foundation - here would be my recommendations!

The Maybelline Dream Matte Powder! I’ve personally never used this product, but Missglamorazzi on Youtube has extreemly oily skin, and has sworn by this powder for years! It’s inexpensive, finely milled and wont make you look cakey - all while still keeping you matte! To see her foundation routine with this powder, click here

Next would be the Covergirl Clean Oil Control Pressed Powder! The makeup artist at my work absolutely loves the Covergirl Clean line. She thinks that this powder is perfect for controlling your oil, without breaking your bank! Makeupforpoorckicks here on Tumblr also loves this powder!

Please let me know if you try either one of these products, and if you like them!

  13. REVIEW: Essence Eye Shadows and Eyeliner

So for those of you who have never heard of Essence before, it’s a company new to Canada. It’s from Germany, although the brand manufactures all of their products in Italy. It’s extremely inexpensive, yet is rated highly for great pigmentation and colour pay off!

Today I will be reviewing the Colour and Shine Eyeshadows (in colours 01 and 11), as well as the Eyeliner pen (in black).

  14. REVIEW: Comparison - Stila Kitten Smudge Pot vs. Mac Barestudy Paint Pot

Swatches: (left to right) Stila Smudge Pot in Kitten, Mac Barestudy Paint Pot

Both of these bases are cult favourites on the Youtube beauty community, targeted to be both the perfect eye#shadow base, and the perfect “one sweep lid colour”.

However they’re both very similar products, so I’m here to give you the showdown!
